Ciro A. Rosolem

Professor

Graduated in Agronomy in 1973, earned an MSc in 1978 and a PhD degree in Agronomy (Soils and Plant Nutrition) in 1979 from the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz, University of São Paulo. Visiting Scientist at the University of California, Davis, in 1984/85. He was the founder, Director and CEO of the Foundation for Agricultural and Forestry Studies and Research in Botucatu and Director of the UNESP Meteorological Research Institute. Acted as a coordinator of the agricultural area of the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP) from 1995 to 2007. Recognized as Adjunct Professor at the University of Oklahoma. Professor at the School of Agricultural Sciences at the São Paulo State University since 1988. He was vice-president of the Brazilian Soil Science Society and now is Communications VP of the Scientific Council for Sustainable Agri. Experienced in annual crops, with an emphasis on plant nutrition, soil fertility, applied physiology, root growth, agricultural production systems, crop rotation and nutrient cycling, working mainly with cotton, soybean, cover crops and crop-livestock-Integration.
