Christogonus Kayode Daudu is a Professor and Subject Matter Specialist for Farming Systems and Soil Science Extension at the National Agricultural Extension & Research Liaison Services, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. From 2016 – 2020, he was here also the Assistant Director of Research. Christogonus holds a PhD in Soil Fertility Management from the same university and a joint academic appointment with the Department of Soil Science.

He has a wide range of training, extension, and research experience in agriculture from specialized training on the development of fertilizer recommendations, the use of models in agriculture, to workshops on participatory approaches and research in extension methodologies. Christogonus participated in and led several international and multi-partner research projects on soil fertility and productivity management. He was a Visiting Senior Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Fort Hare, South Africa.

He was a member of the Nigerian National Fertilizer Technical Committee and a co-editor of the manual on fertilizer use and management practices for crops in Nigeria. Christogonus published many articles in reputable journals and presented papers at local and international conferences. He is a Fellow of the African Scientific Institute and a member of several professional academic associations.
